Restore Project

Description

Restores an AttackForge project that was previously archived by archive_project. This is a write operation: the project reappears in find_projects and the other project tools and, because archiving left its vulnerabilities, test cases, team members, group links and portfolio stream links in place, comes back as it was.

The shape of args is declared inline (see Building args for Write Tools), so no preparatory call is needed. Archived projects are hidden from find_projects unless an administrator sets include_archived, so only an administrator can look up the id to restore; any other caller has to know it already.

Preconditions: the caller must be an Admin, the project's owner, or a Project Coordinator with access to the project. On success the project id is returned together with an updated flag.

How To Enable

  1. Go to Users

  2. Select the user you would like to provide access to this tool

  3. Click on Access > MCP

Example Prompts

Required
Description

project_id

string

Yes

Id (24-hex) of the archived project to restore. Source: find_projects called with include_archived set to true, since an archived project is otherwise hidden from it.

updated is true when the project was actually restored by this call. false means the call succeeded but changed nothing because the project was not archived in the first place - it is not an error and the call should not be retried.
